BOHEMIA, NY – November 2019 -- North Atlantic Industries, Inc. (NAI), a leading supplier of embedded computing solutions and power supplies, announces the availability of the 67G6 6U OpenVPX Multifunction I/O, communications and processing board. The Configurable Open Systems Architecture™ (COSA®) enabled 67G6 offers the greatest I/O, communications and processing density along with the greatest flexibility, adaptability and modularity of any 6U board in the industry. Up to six independent customer configurable Analog and Digital I/O, Position, Timing, Measurement/Simulation and Communications smart function modules are supported on a single slot, 6U OpenVPX board. Over 70 pre-integrated smart functions, with dedicated processing, fuel NAI's modular mix-and-match architecture.
The 67G6 features the Xilinx Zynq® UltraScale+ MPSoC with ARM® Cortex®-A53 processing technology. Smart function modules process all I/O and communications data. Application ready data is available via ethernet or dual port PCIe memory to the SBC, utilizing NAI’s free Software Support Kit (SSK). Optional local ARM processing is available for further customer processing to offload the SBC. The 67G6 offers as an option, 24-channels of programmable 0 to +60 VDC sink, source or push-pull discrete outputs or discrete inputs with an integrated VITA 46.11 Tier-2 compatible IPMC for OpenVPX chassis manager interface support.
Specifically designed for rugged defense, industrial, and commercial applications, the 67G6 delivers a COTS solution that accelerates deployment of SWaP-optimized air, land, and sea systems. Offered in commercial, 0°C to +70°C or extended -40°C to +85°C operating temperature ranges. Conduction or Convection cooled versions are available.
“Customers require flexibility, adaptability and modularity to meet future DoD SOSA™, MOSA™ and FACE® system requirements” states Lino Massafra, VP of Sales and Marketing. "The 67G6 is ideally suited to align with these demanding requirements.”
NAI offers a variety of 6U OpenVPX solutions, including rugged I/O Boards - designed to be combined with our smart function modules - to create a COTS-based, high-density, multifunction I/O solution for most sense and response requirements.
