North Atlantic Industries partners with wolfSSL to support NAI’s Certifiable 68PPC2 T2080 Single Board Computer with Embedded Security Solutions

BOHEMIA, NY – April 2021 -- North Atlantic Industries, Inc. (NAI), a leading supplier of embedded computing solutions and power supplies, has partnered with wolfSSL to support NAI’s COTS fully integrated T2080 SBC 68PPC2 with the embedded security solutions available from wolfSSL. Combining NAI's ruggedized and certifiable 68PPC2 T2080 single board computer with wolfSSL's solutions, the companies have provided a certifiable COTS solution with FIPS 140-2 and FIPS 140-3 validation. WolfSSL’s security solutions focus on providing lightweight and embedded security with an emphasis on speed, size, portability, features, and standards compliance:

  • wolfBoot: Secure bootloader solution that offers firmware authentication and firmware update mechanisms.
  • wolfCrypt: Lightweight cryptography library written in ANSI C and targeted for embedded, RTOS, and resource-constrained environments with DO-178.
  • wolfSSL: a lightweight SSL/TLS library.
  • wolfSentry: Universal, dynamic, embedded IDPS (intrusion detection and prevention system).

NAI’s 68PPC2 is a 3U OpenVPX, T2080 quad-core processor, PowerPC-based, Single Board Computer (SBC) that can be configured with up to two smart function modules. Ideally suited for rugged defense, commercial aerospace, and industrial applications, the 68PPC2 delivers off-the-shelf solutions that accelerate deployment of SWaP-optimized systems. The 68PPC2 supports continuous background Built-in-Test (BIT), up to 8 GB DDR3 SDRAM, up to 32 GB SATA II NAND Flash storage, two 10/100/1000 Base-T or 2x 1000 Base–KX Ethernet ports, and two USB 3.0 ports. Available DO-178C DAL A operating system support includes Wind River® VxWorks® 653 3.x and DDC-I Deos.
