A leading European-based commercial aircraft manufacturer needed to test and simulate signals while designing the landing gear and fuel systems for two, new wide-body commercial aircraft models. They installed a variety of NAI's 6U VME boards (including 64C2, 64C3 and 64DL1) in large chassis and test equipment racks to support this testing. The boards included 28V Discrete Inputs and Outputs, LVDT Simulation Channels, and Analog Conversions (both A/D and D/A). NAI Multifunction I/O boards were selected, based on the high channel density available and the many programmable features of these boards, as well as the available Background Built-In-Test (BIT) capability.
